I am an attorney at Quarles and Brady in Chicago and I lead our startups practice nationwide. I represent around 75 or so startups across the country and have had four of my own startups (including one active early-stage startup). I am very familiar with all kinds of early-stage startup legal issues ranging from equity documentation, trademarks and patent matters, fundraising (including SAFEs and convertible notes), labor and employment issues, and stock option plans. I'm also happy to review pitch decks and to provide general business strategy for fundraising rounds and negotiations with potential customers.
