Farley-Q Entrepreneurship Bootcamp
The Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovations and The Querrey InQbation Lab offer unique two-day workshops for Northwestern research scientists interested in exploring entrepreneurship. The focus of the workshops are to expose participants to what entrepreneurship looks like at both a general and more practical level.
Scientists hear from panels consisting of entrepreneurial faculty and of former PhD students and researchers who became founders of startups. Participants learn how to think about their own research with a translational lens and, through live workshops, mock customer discovery, and collaborative brainstorming, learn to distill and communicate their technology, the value of it and the impact of it as a potential commercial product. If accepted, full participation on both days is required.
Even if entrepreneurship is not your end goal, we encourage you to consider the program as it will equip you to effectively communicate your thesis, collaborate within teams, and pursue your independent career with confidence.
